The new Plastic SCM GUI (Graphics User Interface) innovates the way to manage and display all the information controlled by Plastic. It allows the user to work on several workspaces simultaneously, and for each of them, display multiple different views, ranging from the classical file / folder tree to the much improved Branch Explorer.

The ability to "navigate" through the versioned data creating new views is the core concept of the new GUI and it provides the mechanisms to make this "browsing experience" easy and self-guided. This is a sample of the items and labels branches views on the new GUI:

Now it is possible to navigate from the branches view, to the content of a given branch, which is depicted in this figure:

New views appear on top of the previous one, capturing user attention, but keepeing the context of the precious step.
